A week ago I purchase some computer equipment from Amazon. This morning I logged in to my account, and noticed the order does not show up anywhere. Same goes for another order I placed few months ago.

"Orders", "Open Orders", and even "Cancelled Orders"... show nothing for the past 6 months.

Looks like Amazon lost some data.

Now, I have no way to track my order, no way to see its status, no way to return it, or even open a case if I don't receive it.

I have not yet called Amazon.

Quick update...

Apparently something weird was going on with Amazon's servers. I logged in an hour later, and all my orders were showing.

Ah cool i was gonna say anyone that uses paypal or other online ordering services be careful, lately since mid 2016 theres been a huge increase in hackings / DDOS attacks on well know online services.

Paypal had a few incidents over the past year but they dont seem to give a F lol so a lot of people lost a lot of money and orders in transit, but at least amazon keeps backups so they can keep going with all the current orders even if someone somewhere now has the info on all the going orders, if it was in fact a malicious attack this time that is, but even if not they care enough to make sure its fixed at least when something messes up.

There was an problem at my insurance company last year where large amounts of their servers database was pulled so i got sent a letter in the mail with a bunch of info and an explination, as well as a # for the insurance companies legal division in case i experience identity theft -_- lol not like i have anything to get or a good enough credit rating XD but its just one more annoyance.
