Its finally happened! a television network station that goes by TBS has picked up the CS:GO competitive tournaments to be aired on their station. So basicly CS:GO is now a sport thats aired on TV in the states.

Of course this brings up the worry that when people are getting more and more into the "matchmaking" competitive side of CS:GO there wont be nearly as many people looking into Community servers, like ours so we'll see how it goes.

Either way this is a big step for Gaming in general, CS:GO itself has made it big making it only more popular as well as the extra exposure it will get to Xbox players realizing this is a mainly PC game, which could possibly bring more main stream gamers to the PC side. As well as all the big advertising endorsements it seems CS:GO is now a legitimate team sport, and also a large money maker for Valve.

For gaming in general this means things have hit a new level of seriousness never seen before, so whether it ends up bad for our servers or not im very excited to see where things go from here in professional gaming.

Things have been working out surprisingly well actually, even in a small case of my neighbor asked me a few days ago to check out a PC with him because his son asked for a computer to play games with like he saw on TV. More importantly in a larger sense of society has taken notice, as well as the TV show South Park has even mentioned Counter-Strike recently in the 2nd or 3rd episode of the 20th season.

So its nice to see more and more people noticing there is a PC side to gaming.
