VR Dilema...

Whats up people,
I'm not gonna go too much into detail (partly coz there is none) so all I'm gonna be using it for is head tracking and I know that theres cheaper alternatives for example TrackIR but I don't feel like constantly keeping eye contact benefits head tracking as some people have a constrained cone of "correct" vision.

The tracking area is bigger. You can use any PC compatible gamepad as a controller, and you only need 1 USB 2.0 port.

If those things make a difference to you, go with the HTC vive, otherwise, spec-wise both options look very similar and either one should be fine for simple head tracking.

That said, I would try both in a store to see how comfortable wearing each is.

If money is a concern, then obviously TrackIR or similar solutions is the way to go.

right if your going big id probably say HTC Vive personally, i wanna say its made in conjunction with HTC and Valve so theres a good chance it will have the best support for steam games / steam VR
